Georgia Dermatology Center offers their own medically-supervised skin care system with exclusive products that have proven to be effective in reversing the signs of aging and sun damage. Georgia Dermatology products have been formulated specifically for this skin care program.

Generally skin care products don't go deep enough and their effects are limited and short lived. In order to combat the signs of aging, an effective skin care program must produce results at the cellular level. The Georgia Dermatology exclusive products do just that.

What can be expected while using the Georgia Dermatology Skin Care System?
The skin will undergo four phases of transformation:

1. Correction: The skin care system begins by penetrating deep into the dermis, removing old, dead skin cells and replacing them with fresh new cells. Dryness and peeling are typical indicators that treatment protocol is working. By the end of this phase, usually 6 weeks depending on skin condition, there is a noticeable improvement to the skin.
2. Stimulation: As the skin begins to tolerate treatment (6-10 weeks), it begins producing normal, healthy cells that are pushed to the surface faster. In addition, pigment cells distribute melanin more evenly. Collagen and elastin production is stimulated. At the end of this phase, there is significant improvement to the skin.
3. Transformation: As healthy collagen and elastin production continues, all layers of the skin receive an increased supply of nutrients and blood flow. Skin is smooth, naturally hydrated, evenly colored and more resilient.
4. Maintaining: The fourth phase of this exclusive skin care program depends on the patient. Georgia Dermatology will formulate a personalized maintenance protocol to ensure the continuation of younger looking skin.

Georgia Dermatology Center's Exclusive Skin Care Products

1. Gel Cleanser: This Cleanser is gentle on the skin yet effective in removing oil, makeup, and other impurities. Enhanced with Aloe Vera and botanical extracts this cleanser leaves the skin feeling clean, clear, and refreshed. Its natural pH balance makes it suitable for all skin types. (AM/PM)




2. Gentle Cleanser: This has the same benefits as our Gel Cleanser but is best for use on sensitive skin. It is also recommended to use after having a facial procedure or chemical peel. (AM/PM)





3. Toner: An essential lotion to be used after cleansing. This alcohol-free toner soothes skin with Aloe Vera and botanical extracts. Formulated to restore the skin's normal pH balance, this toner prepares the skin leaving a smoother and more refreshed feeling. (AM/PM)




4. Skin Lightener: With 4% Hydroquinone, Georgia Dermatology's Skin Lightener is used for the depigmentation of dark areas of the skin such as age spots, liver spots, freckles, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyper pigmentation. (AM/PM)




5. Exfoliator Forte: Specially formulated with a more active concentration of AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids), this exfoliator aids in the removal of unwanted impurities, including dead skin cells, helping to provide the skin with a soft feeling and smooth texture. (AM)




6. Exfoliator: This has the same benefits as the Exfoliator Forte but is recommended for use on sensitive skin. (AM)






7. Blend (must mix with Tretinoin): This product promotes peeling and stimulates new cellular turnover by carrying products deep into the dermis. Blend builds collagen, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and improves rosacea, acne, large pores, and skin texture. Clinically, this translates into firm, well hydrated skin that does not need moisturizers. (PM)



8. Tretinoin (Retin-a) (must mix with Blend): This firms the skin by plumping and building collagen. Tretinoin is a medication used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions, and works especially well in treating chronic acne. Tretinoin is sold separately and is available in multiple strengths of .025%, .05%, and 0.1%. (PM)



9. Eye Cream: Used to treat puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. Apply to eye area (upper lid and under eye area). (AM/PM)






10. Moisturizer: This should be used sparingly for peeling and dry skin. Use of another moisturizer should be avoided as it could cause a chemical reaction. As the skin begins to regulate cell growth and natural hydration, this product will no longer be necessary.




11. Jan Marini Skin Research® SPF 30: Provides full spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB rays. Jan Marini SPF 30 is the number one requested daily sunscreen at Georgia Dermatology Center. This pharmaceutical product is waterproof and protects against premature aging, photo damage, and skin cancer. Jan Marini sunscreen is mandatory for the Georgia Dermatology Skin Care System.

In a recent clinical study involving 301 patients, Georgia Dermatology Skin Care System was proven to be 2-3 times more effective than other commonly prescribed skin care treatments.
