PERMANENT MAKEUP (MICROPIGMENTATION)

Wake up with makeup. Say goodbye to thin eyebrows and fading lipstick applications with micropigmentation.

Micropigmentation, or permanent makeup, can help replace the subdued look of aging facial features. It can save you time in your makeup routine as well as money at the makeup counter. It can even help improve the appearance of scars, vitiligo, alopecia, or other health problems”

Permanent makeup is applied by using special instruments to place color into the dermis, the second layer of the skin. This creates a natural look by keeping a transparent layer of skin on top of the new color. After the procedure the color will appear darker than the final result, but will fade to a natural look as the epidermis sheds skin during the healing process.

A topical anesthetic will be applied prior to the procedure. Most people will feel a tingling sensation with little discomfort as the procedure is performed. Micropigmentation requires no downtime.

Even though permanent makeup lasts a long time, it is recommended to get a touch up every couple of years. Darker colors will remain visible longer than light or nude colors. Sun, swimming, and natural body processes can all contribute to the fading of permanent makeup.

Micropigmentation is an artistic and precise technique that requires a skilled and experienced professional. Georgia Dermatology’s skin care specialists will walk you through the process, helping you to choose the best colors for your skin tone and treatment areas.
