Georgia Dermatology Center is located in Cumming Georgia, under the direction of Board Certified Dermatologist, Alexander S. Gross, M.D. The overall health and appearance of their patients’ skin is the main priority at Georgia Dermatology Center. Dr. Gross and his well-trained staff blend modern medical techniques and effective cosmetic procedures together allowing them to provide their patients with a variety of dermatology services that deliver impressive and noticeable results.

Dr. Gross received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology from Emory University and then attended medical school at the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine. Upon receiving his medical degree he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University. He then completed a dermatology residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Gross is board certified in both the fields of internal medicine and dermatology.
Dr. Gross lectures both locally and nationally, and has published numerous papers on dermatology. Dr. Gross is a fellow of American College of Physicians, American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of Annenberg Circle of Dermatology Foundation, Atlanta Dermatological Association, Georgia Dermatology Society, Southern Medical Association, and Georgia Composite Board of Medicine . Dr. Gross has been featured in both television and magazine articles as an advocate of “talk-esthesia,” the art of keeping patients comfortable during surgery through conversation.
In April 2008, Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Dr. Gross to the Georgia Medical Board. He serves as the chairman of the Physician Assistant Committee. Dr. Gross was influential in drafting and lobbying for the Medical and Laser Act that was passed in 2009, and will chair the laser licensing committee.
Dr. Gross has been affiliated with the American Cancer Society for 26 years and remains active in his community. He served as president of the DeKalb County Unit from 1995-1996 and was the Medical Director of the Greater Atlanta Unit from 1996-1997. Dr. Gross is a Chairman of the Skin Cancer Committee and has served on the Board of Directors since 1983. Annually, Dr. Gross sponsors the Relay for Life program each May, he volunteers his time to do free cancer screenings to specific organizations and pre-school children.
In addition to his full time practice at Georgia Dermatology, Dr. Gross is an attending physician at Northside Forsyth Hospital. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Emory University, and trains residents and students from the Medical College of Georgia. He also trains other physicians to perform tumescent liposuction and soft tissue filler injections.
Dr. Gross’s extensive involvement and experience in the field of medicine has led him to many awards and honors. He was named the winner of the Dermatology Abstract Symposium at Vanderbilt University in June of 1990. He also received an American Medical Association Physicians Recognition Award in 1992 and an American Academy of Dermatology Continuing Education Award in 1992, 1995, and 1998. Because of his dedication and work with The American Cancer Society, Dr. Gross was named Cancer Control Volunteer of the Year in 2008.
In January 2009 Dr. Gross received The President's Volunteer Service Award in recognition and appreciation for his commitment to strengthening our Nation and for making a difference through volunteer service.
After completing his residency at Vanderbilt, Dr. Gross made Georgia his home. He is married and has 2 sons in college. His interests outside of dermatology include his love of all types of music, watching professional sports, and occasionally playing the piano. Much of Dr. Gross’s spare time is spent volunteering and fund raising for numerous philanthropic organizations such as the American Cancer Society, The Arthritis Foundation and Senior Citizens of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. which supports Meals on Wheels Atlanta and other programs that serve North Georgia Seniors. Dr. Gross shares his passion for helping the citizens of the north Georgia community with his wife as she has served as chairperson and organizer for such benefits as the Hospice Ball, Ballet Ball, Opera Ball and American Cancer Society Ball. Dr. Gross currently serves on the board of Directors for Verizon Park.
Ganga received her BS degree in Medical Technology from the Medical College of Georgia and then went on the receive her Master of Physician Assistant degree also from the Medical College of Georgia.
She has been a valued member of the staff at Georgia Dermatology Center since 1998. Ganga is a member of Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, an organization that promotes high quality, cost-effective, accessible health care as part of a physician-directed team.
Ganga moved to Georgia from India when she was 14. She is married and has two daughters.
Janette received her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She then her graduate degree, Master of Science at the University of Massachusetts and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
For over 30 years Janette has devoted her professional life to nursing. She spent many years specializing in pulmonary medicine, HIV care, and then 10 years as a family nurse practitioner. It was then she decided to specialize in dermatology and joined the staff at Georgia Dermatology Center in 2005. She is a member of Dermatology Nurses Association.
Janette is married with two children, Cadie and Jack.
Linda joined the staff at Georgia Dermatology Center in 2009. Her experience includes over 15 years of medical practice management in the fields of dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery.
She has attended numerous seminars on medical management and is a member of A.D.A.M., Association of Dermatology Administrators and Managers. She also actively represents Georgia Dermatology Center in the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
Linda is married and has raised two daughters. She is an avid health fanatic and believes strongly about the importance of keeping fit and eating healthy food. She and her husband are members of St. Monica's Catholic Church. They also enjoy participating in St. Marlo's dinner club.
Michele received certification from American Institute of Permanent Color Technology in 2000 and received the highest grade for the national board examiners for American Academy of Micropigmentation. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Micropigmention . She graduated from International School of Skin Care and Nails in 2001 and then joined the staff at Georgia Dermatology Center's Medical Spa.
Applying "permanent makeup" or micropigmentation has become one of her passions. She has found reward in helping cancer patients by providing the finishing touch on their road to recovery. By restoring normal color to breast tissue after surgery or replacing loss of eyebrows due to chemotherapy or Alopecia, her patients often express that it helps them feel like they're getting back to normal once again.
Michele is certified in laser technology, IPL FotoFacial, laser hair removal, tissue tightening, resurfacing, VelaShape, Sciton, Micro laser Peel, Profractional Skin tightening, Refirm, and Matrix. She finds reward and satisfaction in helping people with their skin by improving sun damage, reduce wrinkling and signs of aging, and providing solutions for acne prone skin.
She is the proud mother of two Papillions, Romeo and Juliet. She enjoys collecting orchids, working out and keeping fit, and loves trying out new recipes when time allows. She is a member at North Point Community Church.
Stephanie has been a practicing licensed medical esthetician since 2001 and has been working in the medical field for over 15 years. She completed 2 years of nursing school in Rome, GA, received her dermatologic training at Emory Clinic, and then graduated from International School of Skin Care and Nails in 2001.
She was a medical spa owner for 4 years before joining the staff Georgia Dermatology Center in 2007. Prior to her career as a skin care specialist, she was an operating room surgical assistant for 7 years at Emory University Hospital and North Fulton Hospital. Stephanie has had over 25 years of marketing experience and often instrumental in Georgia Dermatology Center's promotions and events.
Because of her passion for treating and improving skin quality in her patients, especially anti-aging procedures, she focuses her continuing education toward the latest advancements in laser treatments. She also has had paramedical training and has taken classes in specialty medical marketing.
Stephanie enjoys traveling and participating in mission trips. Her travels have taken her to such countries as France, Peru, Italy, Germany, and Austria.
